Jim Grafsgaard's beautiful new paintings from his recent residency in southern Mexico (March - August 2008), plus stunning Mayan crafts from Chiapas, are for sale at Artrujillo Gallery, 349 13th Ave NE in Minneapolis. Gallery hours are Th-Fri-Sat 4pm-8pm, Sundays 11-3pm.

Free! Starting at 2PM, the public is invited to a sale of Jim's colorful new artwork and fine Mayan crafts from southern Mexico, and to hear brilliant new music from P.J.'s renovated sound studio. After 8pm we invite you to stay for a cultural gathering of some of the Twin Cities most creative people, sharing food, drink, music and conversation until the wee hours.
P.J. Tracy's NEW website - www.pjtracymusic.com features full-length musical compositions and audio samples of P.J.'s incredibly versatile vocal and instrumental talent, including streams of several high-profile videos he recently scored for WCCO-TV and Marquette University.
ANIMA at ANIMATED! Minnesota Museum of American Art in St Paul screened our video on Saturday November 15 2008 as part of their Art Here event starting at 7pm, along with a selection of 20 other short animated films by regional artists. If you did't make it to the show, you can see ANIMA online here on BrightBlueEarth.
Art work by Jim Grafsgaard and friends was shown at the Resistencia Festival 2008 at Bedlam Theater (1501 south 6 st, Minneapolis) November 14, 2008. "Resistencia 2008" was produced by the Radio Revolucion crew - listen to them live in studio on Monday nights at midnite or on the archives of KFAI Community Radio.
Jim "Gûerejo" Grafsgaard participated in the 24-hour Comic Day on October 18-19, 2008, at MN Center for Book Arts for the 2nd year in a row. You can view his (adult-themed) comic "The True Misadventures of AMERICO JUAN" online here @ BrightBlueEarth.
Jim Grafsgaard's article "Planting: A Post-Protest Alternative" is included in the Fall 2008 edition of ARP! Art Review and Preview - the website archives include a wide-range of stimulating cultural reporting and criticism, focused on visual art in general, and Minnesota art specifically.
Our Bright Blue Earth video ANIMA was featured during February 2008 at the internationally-renowned Walker Art Center.
